ADDITIONAL SERVICES
It can be hard to weed through all the noise on social media or find your way based on the advice of most well- meaning healthcare providers, especially when it comes to your postpartum recovery, fitness and nutrition journeys.
In addition to being a midwife, Tanya is a NASM certified personal trainer, CrossFit L1 coach and a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach. She loves to help folks find their unique paths to optimal wellness when it comes to both diet and exercise.
Postpartum and Exercise
If you have had a baby, regardless of whether it was weeks, months or years ago, your plan will include exercises to restore abdominal and pelvic floor tone. More importantly, you will learn strategies that will allow you to move comfortably and confidently.
Babies feel light when they are newborns but they get heavy very quickly! Healing your core and pelvic floor after birth is essential for all. Even those with a strong athletic background need support as it can be hard to figure out how to modify in ways that promote healing. After all, you became the exceptional athlete that you are because you know how to push through discomfort.
And if you are new to exercise, welcome! Everyone deserves the time and attention needed to heal physically, mentally and emotionally after birth.
If you have been diagnosed with diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence or if you are having pelvic pain, you may be fearful of certain movements and need extra support and guidance finding new strategies for things like lifting weights, running or jumping.
